Introduction:

SAP Security and GRC is all about protecting your company's data and assets. To do this, you will need to understand the various security risks that are out there, how they work and how to protect against them. In this article, we will talk about the SAP Security certification and how to become a certified consultant.

How to Become an SAP Certified Security Professional

The SAP System Security and Authorizations (C_SECAUTH_20) certification is an entry-level certification that provides a foundation of knowledge in security concepts and technologies. The C_SECAUTH_20 certification is the first step on the path to becoming an SAP security professional. It covers the fundamentals of IT security and provides a solid foundation in security concepts and technologies.

SAP has been in the business of enterprise software for a long time and is the largest provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software in the world. To become SAP certified, one must pass an exam. There are currently three levels of certification: Associate, Professional, and Expert.

The Associate level is a basic knowledge certification that covers all aspects of SAP solutions.
At the Professional level, one must have at least two years experience with SAP products or have passed the Associate level exam. The Expert level is designed for people who lead projects or are responsible for solutions and customers in their company's SAP environment.

Maintaining the Integrity of Data with SAP GRC

Data Security and Integrity

The goal of SAP GRC is to provide a solution with robust security and data protection features. SAP GRC helps maintain the integrity of data by using the following functionalities:

  • Data Protection

  • Data Quality

  • Data Security

  • Data Privacy

  • Regulatory Compliance

In a digital world where data is the new oil, companies are realizing the importance of maintaining the integrity of their data. The first step in maintaining the integrity of your data is to identify what constitutes an “integrity event”. These events could be anything from accidental deletion of files to malicious tampering with customer records. Once these events have been identified, they need to be monitored by an individual who has been given authority over them and assigned a specific role in handling them. This person should also have access to all relevant information so that they can make a decision as quickly as possible when an integrity event occurs.
