Step one: the eligibility check
The process starts with a short eligibility form at infotechacademy.online/pap (for the Pre-Apprenticeship Program) or infotechacademy.online/rap (for the Registered Apprenticeship Program). The form takes a few minutes and asks for basic information about your employment status, Texas residency, and background. It’s designed to give you a clear preliminary answer — eligible, ineligible, or needs-further-review — rather than a vague “we’ll get back to you.”
Step two: the eligibility verification interview
If the form indicates preliminary eligibility, the next step is a brief interview with the Infotech Academy team. This is not a technical interview — it’s a verification conversation that confirms the information you provided and gives you a chance to ask questions about the program. The purpose is to make sure you understand what you’re committing to and that the program is a good fit for your situation.
Step three: enrollment and program start
Once eligibility is confirmed, enrollment paperwork is completed and you’re placed in the next available cohort. The program runs on a cohort schedule with defined start dates. You’ll know when your program begins before you commit, and the Infotech Academy team will brief you on what to expect during the first weeks of the program.
What to have ready
Proof of Texas residency (a government-issued ID with a Texas address works). Employment status documentation if you’re applying for the RAP. Any relevant background information that might affect eligibility. Nothing you don’t already have.
